Amy Holmes

(TONE Live Host)

Amy Holmes has been with Tone Networks since its launch. An early adapter, Amy believes in the mission and the message of Tone to reach women where they are, and to offer women support for where they're going. Between interviewing (and learning from) Tone experts (and providing narration for Tone online), Amy co-hosts PBS's "In Principle". She also appears regularly on the "TODAY Show with Megyn Kelly". In the course of her career, Amy has interviewed countless newsmakers, journalists, celebrities, and thought leaders including: President George W. Bush (the morning after the passing of his mother, First Lady Barbara Bush); Microsoft Founder Bill Gates; HBO host Bill Maher; Oscar winning movie director Oliver Stone; former 2016 DNC chair Donna Brazile. One of Amy's proudest moments was, as co-host of WNYC's "The Take Away with John Hockenberry", wrangling, booking, and interviewing the director of "Pretty in Pink" to discuss and reflect on the passing of the movie's writer, John Hughes. Director Howie Deutsch revealed that John Hughes wrote "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" in one night in his basement. Neither knew the hit they had on their hands. A former speechwriter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a Princeton University graduate with a degree in economics -- Amy's biggest career surprise is how much she has learned as a host of Tone, and how much Tone has inspired her to stay confident and keep striving. More women, please! More Tone!
